Whitehorse is outstanding and I have been knocked off my feet with what a wonderful place this is. Today is my last day here and it is going to be epic. Dog Sledding followed by Ice Fishing followed by Snowmobiling and then tonight back out to view the Northern Lights. We went out last night but unfortunately it did not clear up so I am running on approx. 3 hours sleep since we did not get back to the hotel until 2.30am this morning. My Mexico family vacation wasn't quite like the Dukerol ads! You may have seen the commercials for Dukerol where a gorgeous woman in a bikini is sun bathing on the sands of the Caribbean, drinking a margherita, while watching as her children are running around splashing in the water. Tobacco Caye, Belize I was lucky enough to visit Tobacco Caye, Belize last April. Tobacco Caye is a 4-acre island on the Belize Reef. We flew with Delta Airlines Vancouver to LAX then a red eye to Belize City where we jumped on Tropic air to Dangriga. From here we boarded a small water taxi for a 1 hour journey to Joe Jo’s Lodge on Tobacco Caye. Tobacco Caye and its half dozen small lodges are low key, you won’t find an all-inclusive resort here. Isn't it always that things happen at the most inopportune times! That is why we say 'Make lemonade out of lemons', 'Things can only get better' and, 'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger'. We all know these sayings too well.
