Cycling the Dalmation Coast

Overview

Truly appreciate the views along the Dalmation coast of Croatia. Cycle this picturesque coastline and enjoy the vistas, culture and historical interest points. Your 8 day itinerary will take you from Split onto the islands of Hvar and Korcula, then onto the mainland down to Dubrovnik.

Your guide and small group (Max 16 people) will ride approximately 50kms per day and stay in small local hotels. Don't worry about carrying your luggage, a support vehicle will coordinate the pick up and drop off of luggage at your accommodation. You just need to pack into your pannier your water and camera for the next amazing day in Croatia!

Itinerary

Day 1

Start in Split

Starting with a tour around Split and dinner, the group will take a ferry to the island of Hvar.

Day 2

Explore the Island of Hvar

This is the start of your bike riding. Circling the island of Hvar you will visit Stari Grad, the town of Hvar, Vrbovska and back to Jesla. Along the way you will pass through villages and have lunch at an amazing viewpoint overlooking Brac.

Day 3

Bike, ferry, bike to Korcula

Before leaving the island of Hvar you will ride the narrowest part of the island to the port of Sucuraj. Here you will take a ferry via the mainland to Korcula. You will spend the next 3 nights here giving you lots of time to explore and ride.

Day 4

Korcula

Today you can rest your body and explore Lumbarda or Korcula town on foot, or take the optional excursion on bike to the island of Mljet. The island of Mljet showcases a national park for which you can take a short ride to explore.

Day 5

Ride Korcula

Sightseeing the island of Korcula is on the agenda today. Making a circle you will visit Brna, Pupnat and local villages along the way back to Lumbarda.

Day 6

Ride to Dubrovnik through vineyards

After a local buffet breakfast hop on your bike to arrive to the ferry. The ferry will take you to the peninsula of Peljesac where there are many vineyards and olive groves. As you cycle you will descend along the beautiful waters of the Adriatic!

Day 7

Explore Dubrovnik

A non-riding day today so that you can explore the city of Dubrovnik.

Day 8

Leave Dubrovnik

After your morning breakfast, you will continue on with your journey or head home.
