Day 1
Arrive Ho Chi Minh City
Arriving into the bustling city, settle into your hotel and explore the neighbourhood. You will meet your tour guide this evening.
Day 2
Ho Chi Minh City/Hoi An
A city steeped in history, today you will cycle through rubber plantations and small villages to the CuChi Tunnels. Here you will take a guided tour through the complex system of tunnels used during the Vietnam War.
After your cycle, you will be transferred to the airport where you will board a plane to the sea side town of Hoi An.
Day 3
Explore Hoi An
On the bike today cycle through the surrounding villages of Hoi An with your guide. You will arrive at Oodles of Noodles for a noodle making demonstration and a yummy lunch! Oodles of Noodles is run by former street youth. This restaurant helps them practice their english, and increase their skill-set.
Your afternoon is at your leisure. You can choose to relax on the beach or visit the tailors, who can make any clothing/shoes you desire. You can pick these up tomorrow.
Day 4
Hoi An to Hue
This morning pick up any tailored purchases. You will then jump on board your private vehicle that will take you through the beautiful landscape of Vietnam to Hue.
Day 5
Hue and Hanoi
A full day bike ride with your guide will take you to such landmarks as the former Citadel and Tu Duc's tomb. Upon returning back to Hue you will board a night train, in a sleeper cabin, that will take you to Hanoi.
Day 6
Hanoi and Mai Chau
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will transfer by private vehicle to Mai Chau. Mai Chau is located in the hills surrounding Hanoi and here you will have a chance to go hiking. While in Mai Chau, you will be hosted by a local family and enjoy a home cooked meal while overnighting in a dormitory style long house.
Day 7
Mai Chau to Hanoi
Today you will travel back to the city of Hanoi. When you get to the city, jump on a bike and explore the outskirts of the city. By the evening lights, visit the Old Quarter and enjoy the city of Hanoi by night.
Day 8
Hanoi to Halong Bay
This morning you will drive by private vehicle to Halong Bay - enjoy the scenery along the way. Once in Halong Bay, board a traditional Junk boat. This will be your accommodation tonight and is a truly unique experience.
Kayaking is available in the afternoon to see Halong Bay from a different perspective. With this mode of transport you can travel through the narrower channels of the bay and see rock gardens, sea caves and lagoons.
Day 9
Halong Bay to Hanoi
As you are not travelling back to Hanoi until mid-afternoon, you will have time to explore more of Halong Bay or just relax. Upon arrival in Hanoi you can choose to visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Hoa Lo Prison (Hanoi Hilton).
Day 10
Hanoi
After an amazing 10 days in Vietnam, it is now time to continue your journey at your own pace and say goodbye to your new friends.
