A picture of Machu Picchu caught Miyako's attention when she was a kid. Since then the world map has been her best friend.
Miyako was born in Japan. Her first international trip was at the age of 13 when she headed to Minnesota as an exchange student. In 1994 she relocated to Winnipeg, Canada with only two bags and a desire to experience the real Canada. This became her second life changing experience. She travelled across Canada a couple of times by Greyhound and hitchhiking. This challenge expanded to international travel. See the lists on her blog.
Miyako enjoys adventure travel because it isn't always easy. She loves mingling with locals and other travelers and she enjoys observing other cultures. She always wants to give back to the communities where she has travelled and even started to support a school and community in Nepal.
Passion for traveling and people are not only within her travels but extends to her clients. She loves to share experiences and meet people who love adventure and culture as much as she does.. and to help make their dreams come true. Miyako has been in the tourism industry for 18 years in both Canada and Japan. Her genuine dedication to clients and service comes from her Japanese background.
